App Development forUK Businesses

We design and build iOS and Android apps for UK businesses from Greater Noida, with privacy and consent designed around UK GDPR and PECR, payments through Stripe, GoCardless or Open Banking, and the store accounts in your name.

10+Years Experience
963+Projects Delivered
63+Expert Developers
20+Industries Served
  • iOS and Android, often from one Flutter codebase
  • Privacy design aligned with UK GDPR and PECR
  • Apple and Google developer accounts in your name
  • Test builds delivered every two weeks

If you are looking for an app development company in the UK and want a team that can deliver both iOS and Android without a London-sized budget, an Indian studio is a reasonable option provided you can see progress and keep ownership. We build apps from Greater Noida, India, and release test builds to your own phone every two weeks.

Our broader mobile app development page describes the service. Below are the UK-specific parts: privacy, payments, accessibility, store requirements and how we work with you on UK hours.

Native, cross-platform or web app?

The first decision is the technology, and each choice has a cost.

  • Flutter or React Native: one codebase for iOS and Android, faster and cheaper to build, and enough for most business apps. The cost appears when you need a platform feature without a mature plugin.
  • Native Swift or Kotlin: best for heavy graphics, advanced device features or maximum polish, at a higher cost since there are two codebases.
  • Progressive web app: no app store, quick to ship, limited access to device features. Good for internal tools.

We recommend cross-platform for most UK business apps and tell you when native is worth paying for.

What we build

  • Customer apps: booking, ordering, loyalty, subscriptions and account management.
  • Field and staff apps: job lists, photos and signatures, checklists, offline sync and route tracking for engineers, drivers and care workers.
  • Marketplace apps: two-sided apps for customers and providers with payments and ratings. UrbanSetu uses one Flutter app for both customers and service professionals.
  • Delivery and retail apps: slots, zones, rider tracking and wallets, as in FreshBazaar.
  • Shopify and ecommerce apps: such as MultiVendorOS, an embedded Shopify app.

These examples were built for Indian markets. They show how we structure apps, not UK deployments.

UK-specific requirements for apps

UK GDPR and consent

An app collects personal data through sign-up, location, notifications and analytics. UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply, with the ICO as regulator; start with its UK GDPR guidance. We design a clear privacy notice, ask for permissions at the moment they are needed, collect only what the feature requires and provide in-app account deletion and data export.

Tracking and PECR

The ICO's guidance on storage and access technologies explains how PECR applies to cookies, tracking pixels and similar technologies, including in mobile apps. That affects analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers and push notifications. We configure SDKs to stay off until consent is given where consent is required.

Children

If children are likely to use the app, the ICO's children's code guidance applies to online services likely to be accessed by them. Tell us at the start so defaults such as location, profiling and nudges are designed accordingly.

Accessibility

Equality Act duties mean you should not put disabled users at a disadvantage; the government's Equality Act guidance is a starting point. We follow platform accessibility features and the WCAG 2.2 success criteria for text size, contrast, touch targets and screen readers.

Payments

Common UK choices are Stripe for cards and wallets, GoCardless for direct debit, and Open Banking account-to-account payments through a regulated provider; see Open Banking for the standards. We use the provider's SDK so card data never touches your servers, which limits your payment security scope.

Data moving to India

Developer access to live user data is a restricted transfer. The ICO's international transfers guide covers the IDTA and UK Addendum. We build and test with sample data, and host production in a UK or EU region under your account.

Process and timeline

  • Discovery and design (2–3 weeks): user flows, wireframes, a clickable prototype and a written scope.
  • MVP build (usually 10–14 weeks): core features, API, admin panel, test builds on your phone every two weeks.
  • Beta and store submission (2–3 weeks): TestFlight and Google Play testing, fixes, store listings and privacy labels.
  • After launch: a support retainer for OS updates, bug fixes and small features.

App Store review times vary and are outside our control, so we plan buffer for them.

Working on UK hours

India is UTC+5:30 all year. On GMT from 25 October 2026 we are 5 hours 30 minutes ahead; on BST, 4 hours 30 minutes. UK mornings overlap with our afternoons for reviews and decisions, and you can test a new build at the start of your day after we have worked through our evening.

Engagement and pricing

We offer a fixed quote after design and discovery, or a monthly dedicated team for long-running products. There are no GBP prices on this page: cost depends on screens, integrations, back-end work and whether you need iOS, Android or both. Apple and Google developer accounts are created in your company name so you control the listing.

Risks and checks

  • Store rejection: we review guidelines early and keep submission notes.
  • Abandoned apps: the code is in your repository, with build instructions.
  • Quality: automated tests on core flows and testing on real devices.
  • Maintenance: plan for yearly iOS and Android changes.

What you receive at handover

  • Source code for the app and its back-end in repositories under your organisation.
  • Build instructions so any competent developer can produce a release.
  • Apple and Google developer accounts, signing keys and store listings, registered to you.
  • An admin panel guide and an API document if other systems connect to the app.
  • A list of third-party services used, with who pays for each.

Questions founders and product owners ask

Founders often ask whether to launch on both platforms at once. If your audience is mixed, cross-platform lets you do that without doubling the budget; if you serve one segment, launching on one platform first and learning is often cheaper. They also ask about maintenance: plan on updates at least once a year for new iOS and Android versions, and budget for it from the start.

Beyond launch

An app is never finished at release. Apple and Google change operating system requirements each year, SDKs are updated and users report problems you did not predict. We offer a support retainer covering crash monitoring, compatibility updates and small improvements, and we keep a release checklist in your repository so any developer can ship an update.

Questions UK buyers ask

For most business apps, Flutter or React Native gives iOS and Android from one codebase at lower cost. Choose native Swift or Kotlin for heavy graphics, advanced device features or maximum polish. We recommend based on your features and tell you when native justifies the extra cost.

You do. The Apple Developer and Google Play accounts are registered to your company, so the listing, reviews and revenue belong to you. We are added as users for builds and submission, and source code stays in your repository.

Permissions are requested when needed, analytics and advertising SDKs stay off until consent where required, and users can delete their account and export their data. The ICO guidance on storage and access technologies covers apps as well as websites.

Typically 2–3 weeks of discovery and design, then 10–14 weeks of build with test builds every two weeks, followed by beta testing and store submission. Larger back-ends, payments and integrations extend that, and the written scope sets the dates.

Yes. We integrate Stripe for cards and wallets, GoCardless for direct debit and regulated Open Banking providers for account-to-account payments. We use provider SDKs so card details do not pass through your servers, which keeps payment security scope smaller.
