If you are looking for a mobile app development company in the USA and want an offshore team to build it, the decision comes down to scope, trust and process rather than location. We build iOS and Android apps for US businesses from our office in Greater Noida, India. This page covers what we build, when Flutter is the right choice, the US rules that affect an app (health data, children, payments, privacy), and how to check any app vendor before you sign.
What we build for US businesses
Most US mobile projects fall into a few types:
- Customer apps. Ordering, booking, loyalty, account management and notifications for a retail, service or membership business.
- Field and staff apps. Job lists, checklists, photos, signatures, GPS check-ins and offline use for technicians, drivers and inspectors.
- Companion apps. A mobile front end for an ERP, CRM or portal you already run, so sales and operations staff work from a phone.
- Marketplace and delivery apps. Customer, provider and rider apps with live tracking, payments and ratings.
- Health and wellness apps. Appointment, reminders, results and patient messaging, built with the rules below in mind.
We have shipped Flutter apps for several kinds of product, built mainly for Indian users: the UrbanSetu home services app, which serves customers and service professionals from one codebase, and the FreshBazaar grocery delivery platform with customer and rider apps and live map tracking. These were not US deployments, but they show the structure we use for bookings, payments, notifications and tracking. Our general mobile app development page lists platforms and capabilities.
Flutter, native or something else
A single Flutter codebase gives you iOS and Android from one team, which usually means a lower build and maintenance cost and consistent behavior. The trade-off is plain: when you need a platform feature with no good plugin yet, or heavy use of the newest Apple or Android APIs, native code is needed for that part. We tell you at the start if your idea runs into this. Apps that depend deeply on the camera pipeline, Bluetooth accessories, or background processing deserve a technical spike before a price is fixed.
A progressive web app is a cheaper alternative for some tools. If your users are staff on managed devices and need no store presence, we will tell you honestly if the web is enough. For more on the cross-platform approach see our Flutter app development page.
US requirements for apps
Health data
If your app creates, receives or stores protected health information for a covered entity, HIPAA applies, and any vendor with access must sign a business associate agreement. HHS publishes sample BAA provisions. HIPAA has no certification for developers, so beware any vendor who claims one. We design health apps so sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is logged, and screenshots, caches and push notifications do not leak details. Developers work with synthetic data where possible. The FTC also enforces a Health Breach Notification Rule for apps outside HIPAA; its privacy and security guidance is a starting point for your counsel.
Children
If your app is directed to children under 13, or you know you collect their data, COPPA applies, including verifiable parental consent. The FTC's business guidance covers COPPA and its Safe Harbor program. This changes design (age gate, parental flows, no behavioral advertising SDKs), so decide early.
State privacy laws
California's CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, gives residents rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of data, and applies to businesses above thresholds published by the California Attorney General. Other states, among them Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Indiana, Kentucky and Rhode Island, have their own laws. In an app, that becomes in-app account deletion, data export, honest permission prompts, consent records, and a review of every analytics or advertising SDK you embed, since those SDKs often drive the sharing that triggers opt-out duties. The Apple App Store and Google Play also ask for privacy disclosures that must match what the app really does.
Payments
For in-app payments we integrate Stripe, Apple Pay and Google Pay through the processors' SDKs, so card numbers are never stored on your servers or the device. That keeps PCI DSS scope small; the PCI Security Standards Council hosts the standard. Store rules for digital goods and subscriptions differ from physical goods and services, so settle that with the platform policies before you design pricing.
Enterprise expectations
Enterprise customers may ask about SOC 2. We do not hold a SOC 2 report. What we provide is role-based access, audit logs, encrypted backups, secrets kept out of the app binary, and source code and store accounts under your company's ownership.
Time zones and testing
India is UTC+5:30 all year; US Eastern is 9 hours 30 minutes behind until November 1, 2026 and 10 hours 30 minutes behind afterwards, Pacific 13 hours 30 minutes. Expect one to three hours of live overlap in your morning, plus asynchronous handover. Mobile projects add one practical point: you need real devices in your hands. Every two weeks we ship a test build through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing so you and your users can try the actual app on your own phones. See the USA hub.
Engagement models and pricing
- Fixed quote. After discovery you get a written scope and a fixed price for a defined first release.
- Dedicated team. A monthly team for a product with an ongoing roadmap.
- Support retainer. OS updates, store compliance changes, crash fixes and small features after launch. Apple and Google release new OS versions every year, so an app without maintenance ages quickly.
We do not publish dollar prices, because a simple catalog app and a two-sided marketplace are not comparable. A written quote follows discovery.
Process and timeline
A focused app often reaches a first store release in 10 to 14 weeks: discovery and screen flows, design, then build in two-week cycles with test builds. Add time for store review and for backend work if the app needs one. Marketplace apps with multiple user roles take longer.
You receive the source code, build instructions, API documentation, design files, and the App Store and Google Play developer accounts registered to your company.
Risks of offshoring app development, and how we reduce them
- Store account control. Accounts are created in your company's name, never ours.
- Code ownership. IP assignment in the contract and a repository you own from the start.
- Quality. Code review, automated tests where they matter, and builds on real devices.
- Communication. A shared board and a short call in your morning.
- Abandonment. Documentation and standard frameworks, so another team could take over.
How to evaluate an app vendor
- Ask for apps they have shipped that you can install and test. Our case studies list live products.
- Ask who will own the developer accounts and signing keys.
- Ask how they handle OS updates and store rejections after launch.
- Ask how health, children's or payment data would be handled in your case.
- Ask what they would not build, and what certifications they do not hold.
Next step
Describe the app in a page: who uses it, the three main actions, and what it must connect to. We will reply with questions and a written scope. You may also read about our US custom software and US CRM offers, or contact us.

A multi-tenant lab management system for pathology and diagnostic centres: billing, barcode sample tracking, result entry with auto-flagging, signed reports with QR verification, and patient and doctor portals.
Read the case studyFlutter suits most business apps: one codebase, both stores, a smaller budget. Choose native for features with no good plugin or heavy use of new platform APIs. We assess this in discovery, sometimes with a short technical spike before quoting.
We can build the technical safeguards: encryption, access logs and careful handling of notifications and caches. HIPAA has no developer certification, and a business associate agreement is needed with any vendor who sees protected health information. Raise it in the first call.
Yours. We guide you through registering developer accounts under your company, and we are added as team members. Signing keys and store listings stay with you, so you can change vendors without losing the app or its reviews.
Every two weeks we send a build through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing, so you try the real app on your own devices. Issues go on a shared board, and a short call in your morning settles questions that need discussion.
Apps need yearly updates for new iOS and Android versions, store policy changes and bug fixes. A support retainer covers that, or you can hand the code to another team, since the repository, documentation and accounts are yours.
