Automation

Business Process AutomationProcesses That Run Themselves.

Business process automation for the workflows that run the operation — approvals, escalations, document handling, the data movement between systems, with the audit trail, the exception handling and the monitoring that make the automation safe to run in production.

Overview

BPA is workflow engineering, not a tool

Business process automation is the work of replacing a manual workflow with a software workflow. The tool is part of the answer — n8n, Make, a custom workflow, a rules engine — but the work is the workflow design: the steps, the approvals, the escalations, the exception handling, the audit trail. The tool is the engine, the workflow is the vehicle.

We build BPAs with the workflow design, the tool selection, the integration with the systems you already run, the exception handling and the audit trail as part of the architecture from sprint one. The output is a workflow the team can trust in production, not a Zap that fires twice and breaks.

This is the wrong engagement if the workflow is genuinely simple (a Zapier) or genuinely complex (a custom software build). We will say so on the call.

  • Workflow Engineering — The process designed, modelled and versioned, not a Zap that fires twice.
  • Audit Trail — Every step logged with the user, the inputs, the outputs and the timestamp.
  • Exception Handling — The exception path, the human approval and the recovery the process needs.
  • Monitored — The dashboards, the alerts and the metrics the operations team can act on.

What we deliver

Everything included in our business process automation

Process Discovery

A written map of the process, the steps, the approvals and the exception cases.

Workflow Design

The steps, the approvals, the escalations, the exception handling and the audit trail on paper.

Tooling & Platform

n8n, Make, Camunda, Airflow or a custom workflow — the tool against the process.

System Integration

The integration with the CRM, the ERP, the helpdesk and the system the process lives in.

Exception Handling

The exception path, the human approval and the audit log the process needs.

Operate & Improve

A monthly review, the metrics and the next workflow to automate.

A process discovery, where we map the steps, the approvals, the exception cases and the cost of the manual process. The highest-leverage automations are the ones that are repetitive, well-defined and high-volume. The ones that are not stay with the humans.

It depends on the process. For a simple integration, n8n or Make. For a complex multi-step process with approvals and exceptions, Camunda or Temporal. For a data pipeline, Airflow. The tool is part of the discovery, not assumed, and the choice is made against the process.

The exception path is part of the architecture. The workflow handles the happy path, escalates the exception to a human with the context the human needs, and logs the outcome. The exception is the most important part of the system, because that is where the manual process usually breaks down.

Yes, when the systems have an API. For systems without an API, we use a controlled export or a screen-scraping layer with the security and the audit log the integration needs. The integration is a typed bridge, with retries, idempotency and monitoring.
