1. Project Overview
Companies with remote or hybrid staff want to know who is working, on what, and for how long. They also need attendance, leave and payroll that match those hours. Imported monitoring tools charge per seat in dollars and leave payroll to another system.
WorkLens joins both sides. A desktop agent records activity on the employee’s computer, and the web app turns that into attendance, timesheets, payroll and reports. It now runs under the TrackVora name as Workforce Analytics.

2. The Challenge
- Staff working from home, office and the field, each needing a different attendance method.
- Monitoring that has to respect privacy and record employee consent.
- Leave requests that must pass through a team lead and then HR.
- Payroll that has to match the hours actually recorded.
- Pricing that suits a team of one as well as a team of a hundred.
3. What We Built
- Attendance by manual entry, desktop agent, GPS with geofence, or biometric, with shifts.
- Monitoring: screenshots, live screen view, app and website tracking, idle detection and alerts.
- Tasks, projects and timesheets, with team and per-employee reports.
- Leave with an employee to team lead to HR approval chain.
- Payroll with CSV, Excel and PDF export, plus invoicing.
- Policies with app and site blocking, 39 of them seeded by default.
- AI insights on team activity, with each company able to use its own model key.
- Security settings: two-factor login, IP allowlist, device binding and an audit log.
4. How It Works
The web app runs on Laravel 12 and MySQL with a React 19 front end, Recharts for analytics and Leaflet for geofence maps. Five roles split access: super admin, company admin, HR manager, team leader and employee.
The desktop agent runs on Electron. It counts real keystrokes and mouse activity, captures every monitor, can blur screenshots for privacy, starts with the computer and updates itself on Windows. A Chrome extension reports website URLs. Builds ship as a Windows installer and as macOS packages for Apple Silicon and Intel.
Billing runs through Razorpay in rupees on six seat-based plans, from a single seat up to Enterprise, with a 14-day trial and self-serve signup. A consent layer records employee consent in line with the DPDP Act.
5. The Outcome
WorkLens went live on 16 June 2026 and moved to trackvora.com the same day under the TrackVora name. Our own company runs on it, with one admin and ten employees.
The base product came together in eight phases, followed by about 51 smaller improvements. A browser screen-share option also lets an employee share their screen without installing the desktop agent.
