1. Project Overview
A spinning mill, a weaving shed, a dyeing house and a garment exporter all call themselves textile businesses, yet they track very different things: bale mixing, loom efficiency, dye recipes, cut plans. Most textile software picks one and leaves the rest on paper.
We built a textile ERP with 38 modules and made it rentable per vertical. A spinning unit gets bale and mixing screens. A garment unit gets style, BOM and cut plans. A fabric trader gets a lean set of 12 modules. Alongside it sits FactoryFlow, a manufacturing ERP for engineering and appliance plants.

2. The Challenge
- Seven verticals, from spinning to home textiles, with different production steps.
- Job work sent to outside processors, which brings Rule 55 challans, the one-year return clock under section 143 and ITC-04 returns.
- Costing that has to reflect the real dyes and chemicals used in each batch.
- Production staff who need status on the floor, not in a back office.
- Small units that cannot pay for modules they will never use.
3. What We Built
- Sales side: CRM with follow-ups and timeline, inquiries, quotations, sales orders and textile masters for yarn count, GSM, shade, dye recipe and loom.
- Production: planning, dyeing, printing, knitting, weaving, cutting, stitching and finishing jobs, with 4-point quality checks.
- Vertical modules: lab dips, dye recipes and batch costing per kg; bale and mixing records with yarn realisation; beam and loom efficiency; style, BOM and cut plans for garments.
- Job work with Rule 55 challans, automatic one-year due dates and ITC-04 return generation.
- GST invoices, e-invoice and e-way bill workflow ready for a GSP connection, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B views and Tally XML export.
- HRMS with attendance, leave and payroll that applies PF at 12% and ESIC at 0.75%, plus maintenance, transport, assets, approvals and documents.
- FactoryFlow: BOM explosion with wastage, production orders that consume raw stock and add finished goods, QC, maintenance and printable GST invoices with amount in words.
4. How It Works
Both products use a Laravel 12 API with token auth and a Next.js web app in a dense ERP layout. In the textile ERP every business table carries a tenant id, and a shared trait filters every query by it. A tenant gets modules from two sources: its plan and its vertical. The sidebar and the mobile app hide whatever the tenant has not rented.
Four plans run from 12 modules to all 38. Self-serve sign-up starts a 14-day trial. A live production dashboard shows machines by status and today’s spinning, weaving and dyeing output, refreshing every 20 seconds.
The Flutter app gives sales staff leads with follow-ups, order booking with live GST totals, and yarn and fabric stock with low-stock flags.
5. The Outcome
The textile ERP now has 38 modules, 245 API routes and 49 web pages, all building without errors. Tenant isolation was tested with three sample companies on different plans and verticals, and none could read another’s records.
FactoryFlow adds a simpler option for plants outside textiles: production orders, BOM, QC, maintenance, purchase and sales, with GST invoice, receipt and delivery challan prints and CSV export. Both products are built and tested end to end.
