1. Project Overview
Over the years we had built separate ERPs for manufacturing, textiles, healthcare, compliance, construction supply and more. Each one solved a real problem, and each one had its own login, its own invoice code and its own data model. Keeping 17 codebases current was slow and costly.
ERPSetu folds that work into one product. An owner signs up, picks a business type from 42 options, and the system turns on the right modules. A restaurant sees KOT and tables. A pharmacy sees batch and schedule H1 registers. A wholesaler sees distribution screens. The same invoice, ledger and HR engine sits underneath all of them.

2. The Challenge
- Seventeen older ERPs with overlapping features and different data models.
- Indian SMEs in very different trades who still need the same GST-correct invoice and ledger.
- Field names that change by trade: a "patient" in a clinic, a "student" in a school, a "party" in wholesale.
- A price point small businesses can pay monthly, with a free plan to start.
- No room for a rewrite that breaks the old ERPs while the merge is under way.
3. What We Built
- Core modules shared by every tenant: CRM, quotations, proforma and tax invoices, payments, inventory, purchase, expenses, tasks and projects.
- HRM with GPS punch-in attendance, leave and payroll, plus PF code, ESIC and UAN fields for contractors and workers.
- A blueprint engine that sets field labels, extra fields, KPIs and document prefixes per business type.
- Industry packs for restaurants, salons, labs, clinics, pharmacies, retail POS, logistics, wholesale, schools, field service and AMC, industrial equipment, fabric and spinning.
- A credit wallet for billing, an integrations vault where each tenant brings its own API keys, AI proposal drafting and a full audit log.
- A super-admin console with MRR and ARR, plan control and support impersonation.
4. How It Works
The backend runs on Laravel 12 with PHP 8.2 and MariaDB. The web app uses Next.js 16, React 19 and Tailwind v4. Every request carries a signed token, and every query is scoped to the tenant that owns the data.
GST logic decides between CGST plus SGST and IGST by comparing the state codes of both GSTINs. Rates follow the GST 2.0 slabs that took effect on 22 September 2025. Every invoice line carries an HSN or SAC code, and totals print in words in lakh and crore. The system flags an e-way bill above ₹50,000 and prepares the IRP e-invoice JSON. It also handles reverse charge for goods transport agencies and TDS under section 194Q.
Each function in every source ERP sits in a catalogue with a test gate. The merge moves module by module, and a module counts as done only when its gate passes. On 28 September 2026 the full suite stood at 84 of 84 gates passing, with 3,261 of 3,564 catalogued functions in place.
5. The Outcome
ERPSetu went live at erpsetu.in in September 2026. A new business signs up on the free plan and picks its trade, and paid plans sit at ₹999, ₹2,499 and ₹6,999 a month.
The manufacturing catalogue alone runs to about 190 API routes, 28 web screens and 6 print formats. Work continues on the remaining catalogued functions, and each one goes live only after its gate passes. The older ERPs stay on disk as reference while their features move across.
